Adobe has also released a toolkit to take Flash CS5-based (and ActionScript 3 based) programs and put them on the iPhone (as stand-alone apps).
Both seem like bad ideas to me. Oh, I'm sure they work, but the native API on the iPhone is CocoaTouch...

PDP-8? We used those at the newspaper in 'vegas. Pure assembly.
First computer ('real' computer) was a DEC-10, followed by an 11/780, followed by 3 11/750s, all in 'C'.

This is a group for mobile developers including iPhone, Android, J2ME, Windows Mobile, etc.
it wasn't the first, by far.
But it did have a good idea (CSMA), which got adopted by Bob Metcalf into Ethernet. (Not that CSMA/CD is used much in today's full-duplex switched environments.)
Its certainly possible, but very, very inefficient. (path loss is an exponential fall-off, just like light.)
