About Me:
I'm the Digital Media Director for Hawaii Now... Pretty much the jack of all trades for the stations. I've been in a variety of IT positions (from healthcare to academia), but have always wanted to NOT be the IT guy (strange, huh?). My current position allows me to sit between the two worlds and really try to make it work from soup to nuts.

Started application programming back in high school with dBase III and some Lotus 123 macros. Went to USC and majored in Biomedical/Electrical Engineering... Came home. Wrote applications for the majority of medical centers, primarily in FoxPro. Moved into IT Management and got an MBA from UHM. Was an independent consultant... Ran for office... Pretty much self taught in everything, so I'm a little rough around the edges. Now into PHP, MySQL and Open Source.

Just amazed at how far technology has gone in my lifetime and what you can do with $5 a month and the buy-in from a TV station.

Heh, I've got the same problem as Sandi... can't remember you from your picture unless you happen to look like a Diet Coke machine :)

I know how you feel. It seems like a label that can limit potential. I want people to know that I'm capable of so much more then fixing their e-mail or syncing their iPod. :)

You might be right Jared... maybe if you put up a more accurate pic of yourself I might be able to remember you as well!

Thanks, it will be an interesting test of the new law. It's not easy to pin this kind of thing down...doesn't mean that you should try though.

Hello Jared! Thank for the add! Yes, we will be local... You and Patrick (our Director of Business Development) should meet up and chat. I'm going to be in Honolulu sometime at the end of December
