Yah I was thinking of maybe 12 gigs of RAM for the quad. I heard that each core uses 3gigs of RAM (3x4cores = 12gigs). What type of computer you use to edit? How long does it take to render to H264 or a DVD?

Hi, I was wondering any of you have a MAC PRO? I'm thinking of getting a MAC PRO, but not sure which one to get. Is the quad 2.66 fast enough? I hate to get it and have to wait for hours to render video. Thanks, any info would be much appreciated!…

Hi, anyone do videos using Canon 5D Mk2? I'm in the process of buying a MAC PRO, but not sure if the quad 2.66 is good enough. I hate to be waiting around for rendering video. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

You might want to try Ruby on Rails. We use it for small and medium size customers. The ramp up is much faster than the typical Java (Hibernate + Spring + Struts 2) stack and for many types of projects the development time is shorter. For larger bank type projects we use enterprise Java solutions.
We had J2EE project fail, we just didn't have the staff and the know how.

Welcome Darin! The FAQ is a good place to learn about the site. You may want to join some of the interest groups such as Flex Developers, Java Developers and Rails Hackers. We hope you find TechHui useful and invite others.
