Yeah, we used these:

but were unable to pull in data other than text. I think they have specifically blocked image download over http in order to secure their revenue stream. But this was a few months ago - have you actually used these functions to load something other than text into SL?

Are you sure you can use Linden Scripting Language to load URL images onto objects? We've tried and failed in the past. Is this a new feature you are aware of?
