I'm not really sure if this is the correct place to post in, but I've finally gotten my major project working! www.geeklicense.com launched last week and makes use of Flash, Twitter, and the Google Charts API. There is a lot more planned for it as well.

John: hey Thanks! it's hard to pull this kind of think together.
All: if you can make the MMO you should really be there. There is a great opportunity here for doing something pretty unique.

Infogrames? Wow, what did you work on during that time?

When I joined the company, it was still called Accolade. This was 1992-1993. I joined the HardBall baseball team and worked with Mindspan over the years to crank out a number of HardBall PC, SNES, Genesis and early PlayStation versions. Once Accolade was absorbed by Infogrames, I worked on localizing some of the Test Drive products for different markets and a few Gameboy Test Drive titles. Good times. In between the Accolade and Infogrames, I was a producer with SegaSoft on the Heat Network for a couple of years. I was working in a social media environment while it was still a niche for hard core gamers.

looking into using Director 11.5 for 3d interactive contents... I have yet to wrap my brain around game development. however, gaming engines seem to be moving towards real world simulations.. so that type of gaming is of interest. also the tech to support massive multiplayer online interaction is interesting too.

I'm working in the hobby games niche of game development, but my System is a mix.. it's not exactly your traditional trading card game, and it includes a ton of web elements that can be used separately or with it.

I actually looked into that platform some, very cool, but there was no Mac OS X or Linux support, which bummed me out. But I think Im going to reevaluate it on my windows box... I really liked the Python scripting, that simplifies things a lot.

w00t! Long time veteran of the entertainment software industry (Accolade, Infogrames, Sega's Heat.net, and SCEA) in California. Happy to see there's a place for games industry folks here. Me, now I'm in the printer business.
