Hi Nate, Flex is an application framework used to create applications that run on Adobe's Flash player. Air is for deploying Flex applications on the desktop. It is not very restrictive.
BTW - Its better to post questions in this group's discussion forum (see +Start Discussion above) because the forum supports threaded responses.
